Olamide Rabiat Makinde is a Nigerian fashion designer and creative entrepreneur whose work bridges African heritage and contemporary design. With over seven years of sustained professional practice, she has established herself as a distinctive voice in African-inspired fashion—combining technical skill, cultural authenticity, and creative vision.

Olamide trained professionally at DMC Fashion Academy, mastering garment construction, pattern drafting, textile application, and fashion illustration. She expanded her creative toolkit with certifications in beauty therapy and Africana hairstyling, laying the foundation for the multidisciplinary approach that defines her work today.

In 2018, she founded Moor Beauty Place, a fashion and beauty enterprise where she serves as Creative Director. The brand delivers bespoke fashion designs and integrated styling services rooted in African aesthetics—bold textiles, sculptural forms, and culturally resonant details reimagined through a modern lens. Olamide oversees every dimension of the business, from concept development and design execution to brand strategy and client engagement.

Her academic background enriches her creative perspective. She holds a BSc in Sociology from Ekiti State University and an MSc in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the National Open University of Nigeria. These disciplines inform her understanding of identity, community, and the social power of clothing— shaping fashion that communicates as much as it adorns. Olamide's work is recognised for its originality, craftsmanship, and cultural relevance. She approaches design as storytelling, honouring tradition while speaking to contemporary life.

She is currently expanding her practice internationally, seeking collaboration and cultural exchange within the UK's fashion ecosystem—bringing fresh perspective, innovation, and the richness of African contemporary design to new audiences.
